Ordering & Delivery
Every cabinet is carefully palletized, securely strapped, and wrapped with protective materials to help ensure it arrives in excellent condition. Corner protectors and reinforced packaging are used throughout the shipment, while larger appliances and delicate components are crated separately when required. A detailed packing list is included with every order.
Once your order ships, out team will personally send your tracking information and shipment details. You will also receive a packing list outlining the contents of each shipment so you know exactly what to expect upon delivery.
Most deliveries arrive by freight truck with lift gate service for curbside delivery. If your project requires additional accommodations, our shipping team will work with you to coordinate the most appropriate delivery method.
Before signing for your shipment, inspect the packaging for any visible signs of damage and compare the delivery against the provided packing list. If damage is present, note it on the bill of lading and contact our team as soon as possible so we can assist.
If you discover damage during unpacking, contact us immediately. We recommend photographing both the packaging and the affected components before removing or discarding any materials. This allows our team to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Installation
Professional installation is recommended but not required. Many homeowners have successfully installed their cabinetry themselves. Because stainless steel cabinetry is substantial in weight, additional help may be needed when moving cabinets into position.
Most installations require standard hand tools. Depending on your project, tools such as a wrench, Allen keys, drill, level, and measuring tape may be needed. Your installation guide will outline any project specific requirements.
Installation timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of your project. Your designer or project coordinator can provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific layout.
The installation area should be prepared according to your approved plans, with utilities, flooring, and site conditions ready for cabinetry installation. Your project coordinator can help confirm that everything is prepared before delivery.
If site conditions have changed or measurements differ from the approved drawings, contact your designer before installation begins. Our team can help determine the best solution before cabinetry is installed.
Product & Compatibility
John Michael cabinetry is designed to accommodate a wide range of premium outdoor appliances. To ensure a precise fit, we ask that appliance specifications be provided before engineering begins so every cabinet is built specifically for your project.
If appliance selections change after engineering has begun, modifications may be required. Depending on the changes, replacement components or appliance spacers may need to be produced. Contact your designer as soon as possible so we can review your options.
