John Michael Studio ("JMS") warrants to the original purchaser that its cabinetry products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions outlined herein.

This limited warranty applies exclusively to products manufactured by JMS, installed and maintained in accordance with JMS specifications, and used in residential applications. Warranty coverage begins on the original date of shipment and is nontransferable.

JMS reserves the sole right to determine whether a reported condition constitutes a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty.

The following limited warranty periods apply from the original date of shipment:

• Drawer Slides and Hinges: Two (2) years.

• Cabinet Exteriors: Five (5) years, including exterior doors, panels, and finishes.

• Cabinet Bodies: Ten (10) years, excluding wear consistent with the product's intended use, hinges, drawer slides, exterior doors, panels, and finishes.

Replacement or repaired components are covered only for the remaining duration of the original warranty period. No repair or replacement shall extend or renew the original warranty.

JMS's sole obligation under this warranty shall be, at its exclusive discretion, to repair or replace any component determined by JMS to contain a covered manufacturing defect.

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to sales@johnmichael.com within the applicable warranty period and must include proof of purchase, product identification, a description of the defect, and supporting photographs.

JMS may provide replacement components for installation by the purchaser or require defective components to be returned to its manufacturing facility for evaluation or repair. All returns require prior written authorization.

All costs associated with removal, disassembly, packaging, shipping, transportation, reinstallation, field labor, and onsite service shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. JMS does not provide or arrange onsite service, contractors, or installation labor.

Replacement components may vary slightly in color, finish, or appearance due to material availability, manufacturing changes, or natural aging.

This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration, defects, or failures resulting from:

• Improper installation, assembly, handling, storage, maintenance, or use contrary to JMS instructions.

• Misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, impact, excessive loading, or unauthorized alterations or repairs.

• Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, chips, fading, discoloration, or other cosmetic changes occurring after delivery.

• Exposure to excessive moisture, standing water, salt, chemicals, fertilizers, cleaning agents, abrasive materials, extreme temperatures, or other corrosive conditions.

• Rust, corrosion, oxidation, staining, or deterioration resulting from environmental exposure, improper maintenance, or damage to protective finishes.

• Structural movement, settlement, improper support, inadequate drainage, or defects in surrounding construction.

• Damage caused by third-party appliances, countertops, plumbing, electrical systems, accessories, or other products not manufactured by JMS.

• Freight damage, improper handling after shipment, or damage occurring during installation or subsequent construction activities.

• Commercial, rental, institutional, or other nonresidential applications.

Natural variations in wood grain, texture, color, and other inherent material characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects. Minor variations in fabricated components and finishes consistent with normal manufacturing tolerances are likewise excluded.

Installations located within fifteen (15) miles of an ocean, coastline, or other saltwater environment require JMS-approved powder-coated components and finishes where specified.

Rust, corrosion, staining, oxidation, or similar deterioration of components not approved for the applicable environment are expressly excluded from warranty coverage.

Installations near lakes, waterways, swimming pools, or other environments involving elevated moisture, salt, chlorine, or corrosive exposure are subject to the same exclusions where such conditions contribute to deterioration.

Powder coating and other protective finishes do not eliminate the possibility of corrosion. Proper cleaning, maintenance, and protection from environmental exposure remain the purchaser's responsibility.

All cabinetry must be properly installed, supported, leveled, and protected from water intrusion. Cabinetry must remain covered with a nonpermeable protective material during construction until countertops are fully installed, sealed, and the surrounding work is complete.

Damage resulting from exposure to water, dust, debris, construction materials, or other contaminants during installation or construction is excluded from this warranty.

All countertop joints, penetrations, plumbing connections, and adjacent surfaces must be properly sealed and maintained to prevent moisture intrusion.

JMS DOES NOT WARRANT, SERVICE, REPAIR, OR REPLACE APPLIANCES OR OTHER PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED BY THIRD PARTIES.

All warranty claims, service requests, and product issues involving third-party appliances or components must be directed to the respective manufacturer. JMS assumes no responsibility for the performance, service availability, or warranty obligations of third-party manufacturers.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of revenue, property damage, temporary accommodations, project delays, removal or reinstallation expenses, or costs associated with accessing defective components.

JMS's total liability arising from any product defect, warranty claim, or related claim shall not exceed the original purchase price paid to JMS for the specific defective product or component giving rise to the claim.

The remedies expressly provided in this warranty constitute the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedies, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, JMS DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

To the extent any implied warranty cannot legally be disclaimed, its duration shall be limited to the applicable express warranty period stated herein, where permitted by law.

No dealer, distributor, installer, representative, or other third party is authorized to modify, extend, or make additional warranties on behalf of JMS unless expressly approved in writing by an authorized JMS officer.

This warranty provides specific legal rights, and purchasers may have additional rights that vary by jurisdiction. Certain limitations or exclusions may not apply where prohibited by law.
